Living in SC salted roads are something we don't see. I got the Ionic running boards with the 5"" wide step surface, chrome finish (hey, I'm an old timer). I have had them for almost a year and they have been flawless. I looked at a lot of others before I got the Ionic. They were easy to install and easily hold my 200 lb weight. The model I got has the slightly curved front and back which IMO gives them a good look. They are available in all black if I recall correctly. Price was good too.

I opted to go for the IONIC 5"" oval Railway bars as I've read elsewhere that these were ""similar"" to the OEM Ford's. Lightweight (but strong), and at a great price. These are very similar (if not the same) bars that were on my F150 as OEM bars, even have the 45 degree bend on the ends to curl into the truck. I installed myself in my driveway in just over an hour easily, and are pretty durable. As I mentioned, I had these similar bars on my F150 for the past 3 years and never once did I have a problem with the durability or the quality of them...reason why I saved a few bucks and weight and went with them again.
