Black Step Bars Ford Expedition 1997-2006

Black Nerf Bars are sold as a set (2 bars) and include a custom mounting kit with the hardware you'll need for an easy mount. The stratigically placed sure gripping step pads allow for a safer entry into your vehicle during wet or snowy weather. Important note:
Because Ionic wants to make sure that your truck/SUV has the best looks and the best fit, each make/model has a little bit of a different style. Some models have a straight design, others have 90 degree bends on both ends, and some others are bent at 45 degrees on both ends. Q: How much weight will the bars support?
A: They are rated at 300 lbs before flexing and 350 lbs before bending.

Q: What material are the brackets made of?
A: They are made of galvanized steel with a black powder coat finish.

Q: Is there any drilling required to install?
A: Most applications are a no drill installation. Only the Jeep CJ
1997-1986, Jeep Wrangler 1997-2006, Ford F150 Super Cab and Reg Cab
1997-1998, and the Ford Ranger (some models) require drilling.

Q: How low will the bars sit off the vehicle?
A: Typically, they will have a standard 2" drop.

Almost all of the Ionic Nerf Bars have a no-drill installation. There are only a few exceptions that you will find in our Q&A section. In the package with the two bars, you will receive 'vehicle specific' brackets and bolts that will ensure an easy installtion. Each set is made and tested to custom fit your vehicle. Most of the reviews that we get from customers say that it takes somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour.
