These Raptor stainless nerf bars (also called “side step nerf bars”) are made from some of the highest quality stainless available. The 304 series alloy is polished to a mirror-finish and will stay that way for years and years with no pitting/corrosion due to the elements. Raptor also offers a unique step pad that is ‘raised’ rather than ‘flush’ with the tubes. This means that you get a larger step area than many of the other brand nerf bars out there. Raptor claims their step pads are 15% wider than the competition. As described above, most models require no-drilling and is easily installed with simple hand tools.
If you prefer a different finish, these nerf bars are also available in black powder coat finish. The strength is the same with both finishes!
Speaking of strength, when you get nerf bars, you are going to want to get them made out of stainless steel, and not mild steel. Stainless steel has a higher yield (bending) strength than mild steel, and mild steel will end up rusting over the years. Yes, mild steel nerf bars are less expensive, but they won’t last nearly as long!

Ionic uses top quality 304L stainless steel and it is polished to a mirror-like finish that almost looks like chrome. It is actually superior to a chrome plated finish, because chrome can chip and flake off over time. This stainless alloy and finish will look fantastic on your truck for years and years! Don't settle for the cheaper stainless alloys out there, like 200 grade stainless, which is barely stainless, and will easily pit. These bars are stainless all the way through.
Ionic also uses RECESSED step pads (not cut out) that prevent slipping in almost any weather. The recess also means the integrity (strength) of the nerf bar isn't compromised. Speaking of strength, these exceptional bars will support up to 300 lbs before flexing and 350 lbs before bending. Regular cab trucks have a single step pad on each bar, while most others have two step pads per bar.
The STYLE of the nerf bars will vary depending on your truck/SUV.
Some vehicles get nerf bars that have a 90 degree bend on both ends.
Some vehicles get bars that are bent to 45 degrees on both ends.
Some vehicles get bars that are bent to 90 degrees on one end and are straight at the rear.
