Westin’s 3” diameter Platinum Series step bars are manufactured from 304 stainless steel tubing with a chrome plated or black powdercoat finish. These nerf bars offer maximum rust protection against corrosion caused by road hazards and feature a UV resistant step pad that won’t fade or crack even under the harshest conditions. Sometimes that is the body mount locations where the truck body attaches to the truck frame. Some vehicles like the Tundra, the vehicle is designed with mounting holes in the rocker panel.
